What a pleasure to meet Patrick de Witt and Charlie Human, and to be interrogated by Diane Awerbuck, at the Open Book festival. Nothing quite as daunting to talk about as “unexpected humour” (cue an attack of deadly earnestness and sobriety) and I was haunted by the line from Finding Nemo said of Nemo’s Dad “You know for a clown fish you’re not that funny”, but the company was fabulous.
